Well. I'm not really sure what the "Bible" is. And I've never heard of angels or heaven. But I saw this quiz on [livejournal.com profile] evankasparov's journal and it was telling him that he was Satan (no "e"), who apparently rules Hell in this "Bible" thing. Well, shit. That was amusing. So I took the quiz.

And what do you know? I got the same result.

I'm assuming there are other villains you can get, but I think this one's fitting, all things considered. *can't decide whether to smirk or giggle*

Satan
You scored 60% Pride, 70% Envy, 60% Ambition, and 62% Deceitfulness!

You are Satan, the consummate villain, and the ascendant figure in the
unholy trinity. Throughout history you have been called The Serpent,
The Accuser, The Devil, Lucifer, The Prince of the Power of the Air,
and The Dragon, among other things. Your “compatriots” in the unholy
trinity, the Antichrist and the False Prophet, are merely pawns in your
futile struggle with God. Though, they probably don’t know this. This
is because you are a master of deception; indeed the Bible calls you
“The Father of All Lies”. You are also very ambitious, and you strive
to be in positions of the utmost authority. Unfortunately, it was
impossible for you to obtain the highest title in heaven and this is
part of the reason why you decided to leave. Of course, you couldn’t
just leave by yourself, so you managed to use your deceptive abilities
to get one third of the angels in heaven to join with you in revolt.
God put down the rebellion and expelled you from heaven. To most
people, it would seem foolish to start a war against God, but pride can
sometimes cause people to do foolish things. In heaven, you were the
most beautiful and powerful of all angels and you were well aware of
this. Unfortunately, you let your pride consume you and your passions
led you down the road to perdition. After you were expelled from
heaven, you let another one of your attributes consume you—envy. You
knew that you could never defeat God, but you could attempt to destroy
humanity, his most beloved creation. Your goal is to bring as many
people as possible to suffer in Hell with you. Fortunately for you, but
unfortunately for the rest of us, you’ve been endowed with all of the
attributes necessary (deceptiveness, confidence, ruthlessness, and
ambition) to do a terribly good job at this.

He keeps his fingertips over her clit till the stimulation's almost more cruel than pleasurable. His head falls back with a faint thud that's lost in the hoarse scream of climax, shuddering violently beneath and inside her.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-15 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
She keeps her nails dug into his skin to keep from screaming as he keep playing over her sensitive skin. Writhing a little, her teeth finding his throat and biting down, as shudders keep roaring through her at the feel of him, at his touch. At his release.

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-15 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Another little gasp, and, gods. He'd come again if it were physically possible, so soon. But his body just starts to shut down, or at least shudder into weary relaxation, and his hand finally moves away to clamp down on her sweat-damp thigh.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-15 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
It takes her a moment to realize things have stopped. Slowly, very slowly, the lets up with teeth and nails, relaxing against his chest, head on his shoulder, trembling still as she fights to catch her breath.

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-15 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
He forces his arms to relax, folding her into a more gentle embrace. His breath rattles into and out of his chest, stuttering for a moment and almost stopping entirely. And then, laughter. Soft and breathless and he kisses her cheek, kisses her temple, hugging her close.

"Gods..."

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-15 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
She smiles, sliding her arms around him and pressing a kiss to his neck. Still a little breathless, but warm and langorous and comfortable.

"You've said that before...I take it it's a signifier of pleasure?"

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-15 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Mmm." He chuckles, snuggling his arms around her. Kissing her again, soft little licks, tasting her sweat. "Much in the same way that you gasp 'Mother Night' or 'Hell's fire.'" And he sounds amused that he manages to elicit such sounds from her.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-15 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
She shivers a little at the brush of his tongue, tightening her arms around him. A smile dances on her lips, amused, still curious.

"And these gods are that which your Hell is missing?"

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-15 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
It amuses him that she wants to discuss religion now. "In one sense. Perhaps a third of the population of the world is of that faith." He strokes her hair, thinking. How best to explain the religions of the world to her, or at least of that world.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-15 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"Faith?" She frowns slightly, fingers moving to stroke his cheek, trying to sort it through. "But what is 'god' that this Hell is without? You said something about unconditional love. Is 'god' another word for love in your land?"

She gives him a slightly rueful smile, amused at herself, even as she purrs under the fingers in her hair. "We don't have this word in our language."

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
He laughs softly, turns his head to kiss her palm before resting his cheek in her hand. "That is one ... facet of it. It's a long and complicated explanation. We can review it now, if you like." Continuing to stroke her hair. It's something to pass the time while they recover, and enjoyable to him as anything else.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
She grins a little, and shifts to settle across his lap rather than straddling him, winding one arm around his neck. She calls the neglected berries, whipped cream and shortbread over, setting the platter on the bed beside them.

She dips a berry in the cream, then holds it up to his lips. "Tell me?"

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
He smiles, taking the berry from her hand with his lips, teasing his tongue over her finger before taking it into his mouth. He makes a small show of savoring it, licking the juice and cream from his lips.

"The largest of the faiths, another term for which might be way of life, or life path... belief system. It is called Judeo-Christianity, and the word brings together both the old form of the faith and the new. They do have several things in common, however."

His voice is easy to listen to, and there's a smile hovering about his mouth, but somehow he's managed to switch from seducer to teacher.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
She nibbles at a couple of berries while she listens attentively. The tiniest of frowns wrinkles her forehead for a moment, as she glances at him. "Belief systems? People believe differently about...what?"

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
"About things for which there is no tangible proof, nothing that can be seen or smelled or tasted or touched. About what happens after death, and before life, and in the world around them. Some believe that their lives are laid out before they are born, that fate rules. And some believe that they have choice, free will."

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
"There is debate as to what happens after death?" Her look is highly skeptical. "How can no one know? Do you never speak to your dead?"

"Fate. Yes. What is woven and what webs can be rewoven? The paths the future holds if we travel the same path we are on now. But there are always other paths. Those that don't believe this...who do they think decides?"

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Slight smile. "I do. But then, I am not human. Humans do not, as a general rule, speak to their dead. There are those who believe they do. There are those who do, but they are viewed as madmen and charlatans."

Thoughtful, he nibbles at another berry for a moment before answering. That's more of a personal question than most of the divine talk, but. Well, not now. "Gods. Beings that are ... powerful, ineffable. Or the universe, which is often given something of a human personality so that they can feel they understand it better. This is, of course, for those that believe their actions, their lives are predetermined."

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
She nods slightly, snagging a piece of shortbread to nibble on. "So because no one has real knowledge, they make up things to believe? Or do these gods exist?"

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
Wryly: "Do you want the quick version or the complicated version?"

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
She grins, resting her head back on her shoulder. "I want to try and understand, but I don't have to understand it all tonight. So...the short version?"

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
"People make up things." He grins wryly.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
"Does the world have no...truth, no certainty then?"

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
"There is truth." He strokes her hair, soothing. Kisses her forehead. "There is certainty. There are things that do not change, no matter that there are so many ways of saying the same thing. There are some who study it."

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Study all the different things people believe?" She settles against him again.

[identity profile] oldestbeloved.livejournal.com 2005-07-16 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
"Mm-hmm. The way people ... the customs of different people, the different things they believe, the different ways they act and why." He chuckled ruefully, knowing how she'll react. "It's called anthropology. The word means 'study of man.'"
