Well. I'm not really sure what the "Bible" is. And I've never heard of angels or heaven. But I saw this quiz on evankasparov's journal and it was telling him that he was Satan (no "e"), who apparently rules Hell in this "Bible" thing. Well, shit. That was amusing. So I took the quiz.

And what do you know? I got the same result.

I'm assuming there are other villains you can get, but I think this one's fitting, all things considered. *can't decide whether to smirk or giggle*

She nods, then says quietly, "They're not as they should be at home, either. Better in Kaeleer than Terreille, but there's still...people have come that want to change it."

"There may always be people who want to change it." He pets her hair, thoughtful. "But then, too, there will also be people who fight against them."

She laughs. "Oh, we've certainly got plenty of those, too. I think Kaeleer will be all right in the end. Least I hope so. I'm growing...fond."

"It will be..." he murmured, though his eyes were distant. Looking off at strings, at patterns, at other stories.

She glances at him sharply, watching his eyes. Touches his cheek gently.

"Weaver of webs, are you?"

He looked up at her. Smiled, wryly, ruefully. His eyes slid into dark, dangerous waters, and the smile turned predator and shark-toothed. Power started to creep up under his skin till it was a wonder it was containing him at all.

"Something like that."

She shivered, just slightly, watching him carefully but nodded.

"As I thought."

"I am..." He took her chin in his hand, gentle, but a leashed kind of gentle. "... power. Incarnate. And many things beside."

Sanity struggled for control.

She watched him for a long minute, then stroked her fingers through his hair, soft but steady. He was stronger than the boyos, stronger than him, but she knew that look well. She kept her touch gentle, but she touched.

"And more as well."

Hmm.

As quickly as the heat had appeared it was gone, replaced by cold calculation for a moment. The knowledge that he should stop this, lest the balance swing a way he did not want it to go. Replaced by weary affection, as he snuggled up again.

She watched the moods shift, then pressed a kiss to his forehead and wrapped her arms around him a little tighter, snuggling back against him.

He smiled a little, nuzzled at her hair. Soft little kisses. Just holding her, perhaps holding on a little, perhaps simply enjoying the embrace and the closeness of bodies, of skin.

Her eyes drifted closed as her fingers traced over his skin lightly.

He kissed her temple, kissed the corner of her closed eyes. Touched her, lightly, wherever there was room and opportunity. The slightest touch of fingertips.

She purred, pleased by the touches, and nuzzled his neck softly.

He smiled against her skin, nuzzling a bit. Ghosting his fingertips down over her shoulders, over her ribs and the side curve of her breast. Down just almost over her abdomen. Over her hip. Little touches. Little caresses. Just touching.

She kissed his neck gently, a brush of lips over skin, shifting a bit on his lap as a shiver ran over her skin from the light touches.

He gave out a soft sigh at her kiss. His fingers stroked along her hip, over the top of her thigh. No move inward, but no move away, either.

She smiled against his skin, then trailed the tip of her tongue up his neck gently.

He shivered, fingertips digging ever so slightly into her leg. Small, slow smirk. Teasing a touch down the inside of her thigh.

She nipped at the skin below his jaw as a shiver danced over her skin from the touch.

He gasped. Tilted his head for her teeth, breath coming a little faster again.

She smoothed over the bite with her tongue, flicking it gently, then teasing up to his ear and seizing his earlobe.

Another little noise, his hands sliding up to her waist. He kisses her neck, her shoulder, thinking.
