They are just kind of scratchy like a beard. If you think about it, haven't you ever rubbed your face against a Cats? They are very soft *smiles to herself*
I can see how making a baby with a cat person could be a bit difficult. Though assuming he only has a tail and whiskers all the other parts are where they are supposed to be.. aren't they?
Perhaps we should find those who did this to him.. and "persuade" them to change him back?

Though in this case, I would say you do have the right to be snarly. If you agreed to a relationship with a human, suddenly finding out he has a "cat side" to him would be disconcerting.
