Mother Night.

Steak and Blow Job day?

Is that all you males think of?

I reiterate my statement about Graysfang: The one advantage to wolves is that they can at least lick their own balls.

Then he's not 'loping off from them', when you're around. *winks*

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
*laughs*

I'm not sure what they think about that.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
No. I've never met them. I don't even know where he goes when he runs off, though I've been told the pack's in the woods around the Hall.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2006-03-17 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know, truly. I've never been around animals, let alone the Kindred, much before. It's stil new.

[identity profile] shifterschuyler.livejournal.com 2006-03-18 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
Kindred? What are the Kindred?

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2006-03-18 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. They're animals in my world who are...Hmm. They're Blood, as we are. They have the same Craft...magic...abilities. They can communcate telepathically in language which translates verbally to us.

[identity profile] shifterschuyler.livejournal.com 2006-03-18 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
Then you should definitely go visit them.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2006-03-18 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
I think you're right. Next time I'm at the Hall, I'll have to do that.

[identity profile] shifterschuyler.livejournal.com 2006-03-18 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
Your friend sounds like a patient wolf. *grins*

[identity profile] shifterschuyler.livejournal.com 2006-03-18 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
Not rushing you into meeting the rest of his pack.

*small smile*

I assume he's an alpha.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2006-03-18 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
*shakes her head*

No, I don't think so. He's very young...barely out of being a puppy. And only a Warlord. I believe the pack's alpha is a Warlord Prince. They tend to be the stronger leaders.

[identity profile] shifterschuyler.livejournal.com 2006-03-18 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm....don't know the titles, but if he's a youngster the delay makes sense.

*laughs* And it's pup - or cub - but never 'puppy' the dimunitive is for dogs not wolves.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2006-03-20 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
*blinks, blushes a little*

Oh...cub then? Though he's not a cub...more an adolescent?

The titles are caste systems of the Blood. Blood male, Warlord, Prince, Warlord-Prince. He's but a Warlord.

[identity profile] shifterschuyler.livejournal.com 2006-03-21 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
What does class have to do with alphic strength?

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2006-03-21 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps nothing in and of itself. It just seems that the males who are alphas tend to fall into the Warlord Prince caste--possibly because they are by nature the most dangerous and aggressive, but also the ones closest to the land and its Queens.

[identity profile] shifterschuyler.livejournal.com 2006-03-22 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
*nods, listening and taking it in*

So their role is set at birth?

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2006-03-22 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Not set, really. They still have the freedom to choose, but their temperment and capacity to handle power and natural gifts are aligned, just as they are in all of us. Our system just makes those natural gifts and capacities more...obvious outwardly.

[identity profile] shifterschuyler.livejournal.com 2006-03-23 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
So, in otherwords, a beta pup will grow up to be a beta wolf.

[identity profile] birthrightgreen.livejournal.com 2006-03-23 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
*nods*

Yes. At least that's how it works among the human Blood, and it makes sense that it works the same way among the Kindred.

[identity profile] shifterschuyler.livejournal.com 2006-03-23 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
Fascinating.

So dominance battles are less of an issue?
