Do you interact with them?

No. I've never met them. I don't even know where he goes when he runs off, though I've been told the pack's in the woods around the Hall.

Why don't you visit them?

I don't know, truly. I've never been around animals, let alone the Kindred, much before. It's stil new.

Kindred? What are the Kindred?

Oh. They're animals in my world who are...Hmm. They're Blood, as we are. They have the same Craft...magic...abilities. They can communcate telepathically in language which translates verbally to us.

No, I don't think so. He's very young...barely out of being a puppy. And only a Warlord. I believe the pack's alpha is a Warlord Prince. They tend to be the stronger leaders.

Mmm....don't know the titles, but if he's a youngster the delay makes sense.

*laughs* And it's pup - or cub - but never 'puppy' the dimunitive is for dogs not wolves.

The titles are caste systems of the Blood. Blood male, Warlord, Prince, Warlord-Prince. He's but a Warlord.

What does class have to do with alphic strength?

Perhaps nothing in and of itself. It just seems that the males who are alphas tend to fall into the Warlord Prince caste--possibly because they are by nature the most dangerous and aggressive, but also the ones closest to the land and its Queens.

So their role is set at birth?

Not set, really. They still have the freedom to choose, but their temperment and capacity to handle power and natural gifts are aligned, just as they are in all of us. Our system just makes those natural gifts and capacities more...obvious outwardly.

So, in otherwords, a beta pup will grow up to be a beta wolf.

Yes. At least that's how it works among the human Blood, and it makes sense that it works the same way among the Kindred.
